TAM V.7.0 OPENING CEREMONY REPORT
“The Web as I envisaged it, we have not seen it yet. The future is still so much bigger than the past.”
Technology plays a very indispensable role in our daily life. To enroll students from such technology ‘TAM’ has been originated. TAM abbreviated as “Technology Awareness Month” is the staple of the students of St. Martin’s Engineering College. A month delineated to enlighten the encephalon’s, the overall development trait and the enhancement of the students. It was commenced as a pet project back in year 2014 by the enthusiastic and fanatical students of SMEC. Since, then the legacy of TAM is being sustained annually by the staunch and committed TAM crew. Completion of six successful years of TAM is a memorable milestone in an exciting, ongoing adventurous journey. The most precious asset for TAM over the past six years has been the heart-warming expression of confidence by the faculty and students in our relevance and integrity.
Rerun of TAM crew is here with the seventh version – TAM V.7.0. On 21st of January 2020, the opening ceremony of TAMV.7.0 was conducted. This was marked as a propitiousoutset of the seventh version of TAM.
Welcoming the Dignitaries:
Sri. M. Laxman Reddy Garu, the Chairman of SMEC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sri. G. Chandrashekar Yadav Garu, the Executive Director of SMEC graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. Sri. Pavan Yadav sir, the son of executive director and also the board member of SMEC graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. The venerate presence of our Principal, Dr. P. Santosh Kumar Patra, was very delightful for the crew members. The crew was privileged by the honorable presence of the Principal of SMIBM Dr. Diana Dolly Mam. All the Heads of various departments of SMEC graced the occasion. The presence of the faculty coordinators of TAM, Ms. S. Girija and Mr. Naresh Kumar kar was a boundless and prodigious source of motivation for the crew. The event was hosted by anchors of the day, Sameeksha and Sai Krishna.
Honoring the Dignitaries:
The ceremony initiated with the honoring of the Chief guest and Guest of Honor’s with saplings by our faculty coordinator’s. The ceremony was lighted up with the graceful prayer of goddess Saraswati by Pranathi Kasarala, 3rd year student of Civil engineering. A brief introduction about TAM was presented by the Vice-Chief of TAM, Nishika Lewis. The dignitaries and the audience were acknowledged by the reminiscence of TAM by the closing video of TAM V.6.0. The introduction of TAM V.7.0 was captured in an elegant and vivacious opening video of TAM V.7.0. The TAM V.7.0 was officially declared open by disclosure of TAM brochures and posters by the respected dignitaries. The event unfurled by presenting of the ID cards to the faculty coordinators and the crew members of TAM by the dignitaries and heads of the departments.
The opening speech of TAM V.7.0 was delivered by Shruthi Dindi- the Chief of TAM V.7.0. Shruthi believes that “All our dreams can become reality, and we can translate all our hopes into success.”
The main focus of TAM V.7.0 will be on the personality development and skill development of the students. She will strive to uphold the motto of TAM “Where technology meets reality”.
Guidance From the Dignitaries:
Then the Chairman Sri. M. Laxman Reddy Garu, addressed the audience with his precious and inspiring words. Sir guided us with the perfect balance of time management. How to manage time in order to benefit and have a successful future. Sir’s words were so astonishingly effective on each and every one of us. The event moved ahead with the address of our adored Principal sir. Our principal is an enthusiastic scholar who believes that technology has the power to change millions of lives for the good. Sir has always been super active on shaping up the future’s of students of SMEC. Sir believes that technology is a marvelous tool to shape lives. Sir has always strived to make sure the students of SMEC excel in all aspects of lives making them better citizens of the country. Sir believes that TAM is one of the supreme efforts to achieve this dream. He acknowledged the students with his intellectual stories. His words were a tremendous source of wisdom and enthusiasm for the students.Thereafter, Dr. Daina Dolly Mam, Principal of SMIBM addressed the gathering and appreciated the persistent efforts of the crew members and the management to continue the legacy of TAM. She believes that TAM is a perfect platform for the students to pursue their hidden talents and utilize this opportunity to innovate and grow as an individual. Her words were immenselyan inspiration for the students and the crew.
The words of advice and enthusiasm by the faculty coordinators Ms. S. Girija and Mr. Naresh Kumar Kar were of immense importance to the crew and the participants. Mam has reflected on the success of previous versions of TAM and the new innovations made this time. She had a glimpse on the advancement of TAM so far. And she hopes to see it successful Nationally and Internationally. They have stood with the crew in tough times and have always given their valuable suggestions and advice and guided us with their precious knowledge.
End of the Event:
The event came to an end by the delightful and heart-warming vote of thanks by Jessica. The success of TAM wouldn’t be possible without the persistent support of the Principal sir, Heads of the departments, the management, faculty coordinators and all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. The overwhelming participations of the students in the TAM events are of utmost importance for the continuation of the event. In TAM we believe that team work is the spirit of life and the only mantra to success. The signing off was done by the intone of National Anthem. TAMV.7.0 started its journey with the energy boosters inside the crew and the hope to excel in whatever it does and help the students of SMEC to improvise and be the leaders of tomorrow.
GROUP DISCUSSION POST EVENT REPORT
TAM “Technology awareness month” is a group of students of St. Martin’s Engineering College. A month long event's are being conducted for the students and this year we had it as an inter college event. It is very helpful for the overall development and enhancement of the students.
GROUP DISCUSSION:
Group discussion was conducted for all the departments individually on 23rd and 24th January, 2020.The final round was conducted on 3rd February ,2020. The whole process of group discussion was divided into two rounds. In the first round, the students had to compete in their respective departments. Best speakers from all the departments were selected.
In the second round, all the speakers selected from the first round had to compete with each other and the best speakers among them were selected. This event aimed at bringing out the rarest talents of the students to the limelight. The timings were scheduled as 2 PM to 3:30 PM.

Sports Quiz For 2nd, 3rd, 4th Years Post Event Report

Event Description:
Sports quiz was conducted for the sports enthusiasts of 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of all departments on 27th January, 2020 in the afternoon session from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. The event was held in the Vivekananda Seminar Hall. Sports play an integral part in our life. Besides the obvious benefit of expanding students’ knowledge, the style of this quiz was designed to inculcate fun and active participation among students.
The quiz was hosted by Ms.Atulya Chauhan and Mr.Srinivas from the TAM crew. We had a very good participation of students of a count over 156. All the participants were divided in the teams of 2-3 members each, which have helped them in team-building process among students. The quiz consisted of a total of 20 questions which covered different areas of sports and was mainly conducted to test the knowledge of the students in the field of sports. The questions in the quiz were made on the basis of current achievements as well as passive achievements. Aspects of international and national sports were equally focused in this quiz.
The last round was the chocolate round which consisted of 5 questions. The student who was able to guess the correct answer first was given a chocolate. All the participants were very enthusiastic and at the edge of their seats to know the answers. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing and very exciting. This quiz truly was a learning experience for the participants. The quiz was very intellectually designed by our Wizards department. The extreme interaction of the students and arduous efforts of the TAM crew made this event a huge success.

Youth Parliament Post Event Report

Event Description:
Youth Parliament is a platform offered to the youngsters where they are given a mock parliament set up and exposure to the parliamentary type debate. It brings the like-minded youngsters on the same platform and offers a chance for the creation of a community to discuss and come up with the possible solutions.
Youth parliament was conducted on 29th of January,2020 in Vivekananda Seminar Hall from 9.30am-3.50pm for students of all the branches of 2nd, 3rd and 4th years and students of various colleges. We had a very good participation of students of a count over 100 from SMEC, also around 30 students from other colleges participated. All the students were highly energetic to debate and place their opinions. We were accompanied by our council members Mr. Dwarakesh, Ms. Shruthi and Ms. Sameeksha. Students were simultaneously assembled into two parties namely Republic and Democratic. First bill was disclosed to the parliament members. The bill provoked a very fascinating views and intellectual ideas from both the parties. Everyone tried their best to place their points to support or oppose the bill. After an extremely heated debate, we advanced to the final call of voting from the parliament members. Then the bill was passed. Allotted a half-an-hour break to the participants. The energy level and critical thinking was at maximum after the break. The session sustained further with new and exciting bills presented by the council. Final voting was held and decided whether to pass the bill or reject it. After three successful and highly participated rounds of parliamentary debate, the event came to an end. Points were allotted to the participants based on their individual performance. It was very difficult to sort out the winners as every individual presented their best. But, there were three participants who were really into the depths of the debate. We, require the same mindset’s and energy from the youth to make our nation at its best.

Codevita Quiz Post Event Report
TAM abbreviated as Technology Awareness Month, is a one-month program planned with various technical and non-technical events. We believe that education is the morphism from immaturity to maturity. TAM is organized once every year to bring the candidates closer to the light of the high-octane technologies of the working industries.
Event Description:
Codevita was a quiz which was designed to test and enhance the basic coding skills of students. It gives the students a platform to showcase their knowledge in various programming languages and it also creates a competitive environment where the students can compete among their peers and work on their strengths and weaknesses. The main goal of codevita is to encourage students from both coding and non-coding backgrounds and to help them realise the importance of computer languages in the modern era.
Codevita was conducted on 30 January 2020 in Vivekananda Seminar Hall from 2:00pm-3:50pm for students of all the branches of 2nd,3rd and 4th years. We had a very good participation of more than a 100 students. The participants showed a lot of enthusiasm and were very keen on answering the toughest of the questions. The quiz was hosted meticulously by Mr.Ashish and Ms.Vaishnavi. Students were divided into teams of two or three and were asked to write down the answers on the sheets distributed to them. The questions were framed from the most trending programming languages like Python, Java, C++, HTML, etc. The quiz was designed by our amazing Wizards department who put in a lot of efforts in making this event a success. After a startling quiz session, we moved to the rousing chocolate round where students were given a chocolate on answering a question. The students displayed a lot of energy in the chocolate round as it was an interactive session which involved their active participation with prompt responses. We received a lot of positive and constructive feedback after the event reflecting the work of our crew members. Overall, all the participants performed very well but only three of them did extraordinarily well and were declared the winners. We expect more students to participate in this kind of events and display the same energy and knowledge.

Web Development Workshop Post Event Report
Web Development workshop has been conducted for students of first year, of all the departments and students of various colleges, on 31st January and 1st February, 2020. Web Development, usually refers to the main non-design aspects of building websites, writing markup and coding. Web development may use Content Management System (CMS) to make content changes easier and available with basic technical skills. An individual that understands how to design a website has the ability to properly market a business or product. This skill will be financially beneficial to them if they ever want to start their own business or start selling products online. An individual that understands how to design a website will generally be more creative when asked to solve a problem.
Event Description:
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Kiran Kumar Y, a professional trainer with 19+ years of experience with comprehensive and strategic understanding of innovative modern teaching and training methodologist’s Sir, has completed his masters in computer application from S.V University. He worked as a software trainer in Datadot Software Solutions. He has excelled technical skills in programming languages, databases, web technologies, server side technologies and frameworks. Sir, has always strived to enlighten the students in enhancing their knowledge to cope up with the race of technology in this world.
The workshop day was filled with full of excitement and enthusiasm of learning the concept and improvising the knowledge. We were accompanied by students of other colleges too, as TAM is an inter college event this year. A very interactive session was witnessed in the morning. All the participants were highly interactive and at the zeal of acquiring knowledge from the mentor. Sir, had a glance on the basic topics for the first session for the students who weren’t aware of web development. Then, the students were mentored with the terminologies of web development like HTML, CSS, Java Script, Integrated Development Environment (IDE), Front end, Back end and the basics of developing a website. This was the end of the first day of the workshop. The next day, a new energy was seen among the students and the zeal to learn. It was all practical in the 3rd session. Students were enhanced with the Back end of the website, which is all the coding part. All these topics were extremely supervised by the mentor to the students. The enormous amount of knowledge attained by the mentor was perfectly shared with all the participants. The workshop ended with the light of skills acquired by the students. The energetic response of students and the tremendous endeavor of TAM crew lead to the real success of the workshop.

ETHICAL HACKING POST EVENT REPORT
Ethical hacking workshop has been conducted for students all the departments of 2nd, 3rd and 4th years and all other various colleges, on 4th and 5th February, 2020. Ethical hacking refers to penetrating into system or networks to find out threats, vulnerabilities in those systems which exploit causing loss of data, financial loss or other major damages. The main purpose of ethical hacking is to improve the security of the network or systems by fixing the vulnerabilities found during testing.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rupesh Mittal, a cyber consultant for cyber security of India and also founder of Mittal Technologies . Sir, has always strived to enlighten the people how to safeguard their devices and personal information from being hacked by the cyber criminals.
The workshop day was filled with full of excitement and zeal of learning the concept and improvising the knowledge. We were accompanied by students of other colleges too, as TAM is an inter college event this year. The engrossing personality of sir has fascinated the students to come up with new ideas and clear all their queries regarding ethical hacking. Sir, covered all the major and minor topics related to ethical hacking. All the participants got the chance to go one on one with sir and also did live hacking of some websites. All the necessary measures to improve our privacy and prevent our devices, mails, social media accounts etc., was mentored by sir to the students. The amount of knowledge gained by the participants and their active participation and interaction with sir, was the reason behind the success of this two day workshop. At the end of the workshop Mr. Mittal felicitated our beloved dynamic Principal sir, Dr. P. Santosh Kumar Patra. Also he was presented with our college memento by the Principal.

Event Description
Entertainment quiz was designed to accommodate the current trends of the world i.e. the rise of streaming services like Netflix, Amazon prime, Hotstar, etc. This quiz mainly dealt with the huge amount of trivia generated by web series and movies and tests a student’s knowledge in them. The main purpose of this quiz was to provide a novel experience for the students who are stressed with academics and to test their knowledge on their favorite shows or movies.
Entertainment quiz for 1st years was conducted on 13 February, 2020 in Vivekananda Seminar Hall from 2:00 pm to 3:50 pm. There was a very good participation among the students. There were more than a 100 participants in this event .The participants showed a lot of enthusiasm and were very keen on answering the toughest of questions. The quiz was hosted vivaciously by Mr.Rishabh and Ms.Atulya. Students were divided into teams of two or three and were asked to write down the answers on the sheets distributed to them. The questions were framed from famous shows and movies currently trending in the world. The quiz was designed by our amazing Wizards department who put in a lot of efforts in making this event a success. After a startling quiz session, we moved to the rousing chocolate round where students were given a chocolate on answering a question. The students displayed a lot of energy in the chocolate round as it was an interactive session which involved their active participation with prompt responses. We received a lot of positive and constructive feedback after the event reflecting the work of our crew members. Overall, all the participants performed very well but only three of them did extraordinarily well and were declared the winners. We think these kind of events help in the overall devolopment of students and will take their mind off academics for a while by acting as a stressbuster.

Circuitronics Post Event Report
TAM is an abbreviation for Technology Awareness Month. It is a one month plan, packed with programs that edify the talents and knowledge of the students, in their field of interests. It is a result of extensive planning and unrelenting effort by the management of SMEC and the TAM crew. TAM is organized once every year to bring the candidates closer to the high-octane technology of the working industry.
If complex circuits, wire connections and debugging is a students inclination, this quiz had given them an opportunity to test their intuition. The circuitronics quiz was conducted for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years on 14th February ,2020 from 1:45P.M to 3:50P.M in Vivekananda Seminar Hall, to test and improve their knowledge on the basis of latest trending technologies. The active participation of students has helped them gain a firm ground on the subject of electronics and circuits. Such positive competition aims at bringing out the best in all the students. The total number of students participated was over 100 . We had ensured that the participants learn through all the possible ways and not just through books and classroom teaching.
The participants were grouped into 2-3 members to answer the questions. The students were tested on the girth of their knowledge. The rules and regulations of the quiz were explained in detail to all the students in the beginning. The students showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the questions. Though some of the questions were tricky, the teams still tried to answer them with confidence. Though there were many students who performed actively, it was tough on our part to choose the best.
The quiz was segregated into two rounds, where the first round was a question and answer round and the second was the chocolate round; where the students had to volunteer individually to answer the limited questions. The quiz was hosted by our TAM crew members; Varun Seeram and Yugal Singam, in a very interactive and interesting way. The quiz was prepared by the department of wizards , by doing an intensive research on the regarding subject, making sure it was helping the students stay amused with the running topic. Overall, the event had a good turnout and a positive review.

TAM TALK SHOW
TAM talk show is the opportunity plus the experience where the candidates get to meet and interact with the experts of the respective fields and not only learn more about the subject but also the skills which are requiredto acquire knowledge. Learning and building never stops. Hence, this year we spotlighted the idea of "mental health", and emotional well-being. As students tend to experience pressure in a tender age, which leads them into depression and other mental illnesses, we were privileged to bring awareness about recovery by the guidance of a highly-esteemed psychologist, Mrs. Jayashree Sangani and her team from Reach Beyond NGO on 17th February, 2020, in the Vivekananda Seminar Hall, for more than 200 students.
The Reach Beyond NGO, is a premier scientific organization committed towards optimizing psychological, emotional, social and physical health by professional psychologists, counselors, remedial educators and corporate trainers through "Positive Psychology". Reach Beyond is the outcome of continuous evolution of content and methodology during the last 15 years. Their motto is "There is a scope for lasting and authentic happiness and well-being of an individual". And have been living up to their lemma.
The students who attended the talk show, found it life-changing and earth-revolving experience. They were inspired to transform by the intense and natural words said by Jayshree ma'am. Students made cent percent use of the wise words that were showered on them. This was an experience, that the students wouldn't forget in a life-time. It was fun, interactive, and mind-exfoliating. Students were inspired to think beyond limits, beyond their normal understanding of themselves. Such an experience is much needed for everyone to have a boost-up in their lives. The session was found to be beyond inspiring to all the attendees. Also, the students have felt the urge to have these kind of talk shows in our college once a year.
The speakers have also had a good time interacting with our students and basking in their attention. As there was equal energy on both the student and counselor interface. It was the most surreal memoir for everyone sitting in the hall. The event was a full-fledged success.With the students and the counselors in a complete synchronize.
